County Line String Band

The core members of County Line String Band are  husband and wife Ralph DeFlorio (guitar, harmonica, lead vocals) and Danielle Fennema (Fiddle). Last but not least is Bill Fisher (bass, vocals).  We sometimes expand the band with additional instrumentation including fiddle, mandolin or banjo. We are fun central Massachusetts based acoustic band who plays a variety of roots music styles including old-time fiddle music, bluegrass, country  and blues. Through our music  our goal is always to create good vibes and and uplift everyone's spirit...About our name. We were thinking about what our band name might be. For some reason we were having a random type of discussion about which Massachusetts County we lived in. It was pointed out that where Ralph and Danielle live is located very close to the end of their town which is the outer border of Worcester County. Bill Fisher pondered that information and, factoring in that we play a lot of string band type of music said 'maybe we should be the County Line String Band.' That made sense to all of us and so from that day started to call ourselves County Line String Band. For those of you who get excited by acronyms or find County Line String Band a bit too much to say, you can also refer to us as CLSB.
